Appointment Length
Initial Visit
Your first visit to YAO Clinic is a comprehensive appointment lasting up to 90 minutes. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your first scheduled appointment to become acquainted with our office. Bring all completed new patient paperwork with you. As time permits, your health professional may discuss details about your health history, exercise routines and habits. These forms provide an in-depth understanding of your chief concerns, the challenges you face daily, your diet and lifestyle, your past history and your health objectives, all of which are factors that influence the approach to your treatment. Please bring all supplements and medications you are currently taking. Our Resources section provides additional health organizational tools you may find useful in assembling a complete Personal Health History.
Follow-Up Visits
Your health professional will consider all the factors that are contributing to your health condition, and recommend a course of treatment. It is often helpful to order specific laboratory tests to gain a better understanding of the severity of your condition. Your health professional will discuss the value of these tests with you. It is common to expect a course of treatment to include four or more visits. As determined by your health professional, future appointments may vary in length, and may include other forms of treatment offered by YAO Clinic.
Rolfing® Sessions
We suggest an initial Rolfing® appointment of 90 minutes to allow your treatment provider enough time to understand the scope of your condition. Follow-up visits will vary in length, as determined by your health professional. Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to your first scheduled appointment to complete new patient paperwork.
pediatric appointments
Pediatric appointments are abbreviated to 1/2 to 1 hour sessions.
young children
Young children must remain with a guardian at all times. We respectfully request that children not be permitted to run in the hall or play on the stairs out of respect for other patients and to maximize the effectiveness of your appointment.
Children over 14 years of age are permitted to wait in our reception area during your treatment session. Please provide your child(ren) with a quiet activity to enjoy during your appointment.
mobile phones
Please be courteous to other patients and silence your mobile phone while in our office. If you must take a call, please do so outside our building. Time on your mobile phone is time away from your appointment, so we request that you limit its use to absolute necessity during your treatment.

What to Wear
You will be most comfortable in loose-fitting clothing that can easily be adjusted during treatment. Our health professionals may need to reposition some articles of clothing in order to apply treatment to your body.
What to Bring
Please bring all recent lab tests, diagnostic reports, current medications and supplements, and other relevant material to your first appointment. Your health professional may discuss these with you in relation to the formulation of a treatment plan. If you have completed a Personal Health History form, please bring this. Please visit our Resources section for additional health history forms you might like to complete.
Payment
Payment for services is expected at the time of treatment. We accept all major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We also accept in-state personal checks and cash. Thank you!
Insurance
YAO Clinic does not bill insurance companies directly. Please contact your insurance company prior to treatment to clarify the types of services that are covered by your policy. Your insurance company may require an insurance super bill for reimbursement, which we can provide for you, upon request.
Appointment Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Please make a reasonable effort in providing us advance notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment. We reserve the right to charge according to the time booked for patients canceling the same day of treatment, missing their appointment, or arriving late.
