Rolfing®
Rolfing®, often referred to as "Structural Integration", is based on the idea that one's body movement and posture is improved when the segments of the body are properly aligned. Misalignment can contribute to stiffness, loss of energy, and pain. During a Rolfing® session, your health professional will apply pressure using fingers, knuckles and elbows to release fascial adhesion. The fascia is the thin, elastic membrane that envelops every muscle, bone, blood vessel, nerve and organ, giving muscles their shape and the body its structure. Your health professional reorganizes your tissues back to their proper place by lifting, lengthening and balancing your body's segments, and, based on your feedback, will adjust the pressure of your massage during treatment.
