Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a form of medicine that employs the body in its own defense of illness, much like acupuncture. Dr. Samuel Hahnemann created the modality, based on the Greek phrase, "homoios pathos", meaning "similar suffering". Homeopathic remedies, most often plant-, animal- or mineral-derived substances that have been diluted to a specific strength, based on an intended application, are developed to stimulate the body's own defenses.
Remedies can be packaged in liquid, pellet, or dissolving tablet form. Homeopathy may be prescribed in conjunction with elements of Chinese Medicine to provide a comprehensive approach to restorative health. Homeopathy is often prescribed for children, who respond exceptionally well to treatment.
